Universal Filament Spool Holder

Support for 16, 17 and 22 mm ball bearings

• This is my universal filament spool holder
• It will provide smooth feeding of your filament
• Self centers because of 3 wings and the convex shape (not 4)
• Note: This one was printed with PLA (Bio-Plastic), should work with ABS (LEGO Plastic) as well.

Compatible with K8200, 3drag and others

It should fit on any 3D-printer based on the 3drag like Velemann K8200 and many others. (SketchUp design included, feel free to extend it so that it fit your printer as well.)

You can use two different very common ball bearing sizes (16, 17 and 22 mm diameter)

Instructions

• Just print two of them, then mount them on the spool axes with ball bearings attached to it.
• Place your filament spool between two universal filament spool holders like so: )> ]-[ <(
• The holder is very universal and can be used with many filament spools with different sizes and holes

Version 2: Updated inner small hole for 17.0 mm support (in SketchUp CAD 17.5 mm) - NO support for 16 mm, see Version 1.

• center hole for axes: 8 mm diameter (in SketchUp CAD 8.5mm)
• hole for 17 mm diameter ball bearing holder (in SketchUp CAD 17.5mm)
• hole for 22 mm diameter ball bearing holder (in SketchUp CAD 22.5mm, because PLA hole shrinks, and/or STL tolerance of export)

Version 1: Support for 16 mm diameter ball bearings

• center hole for axes: 8 mm diameter (in SketchUp CAD 8.5mm)
• hole for 16 mm diameter ball bearing holder (in SketchUp CAD 16.5mm)
